Day 1 of 175
Today
is my "official" starting point for this 35 pound weight loss journey. I've
started this many times before, but always found a reason to fall off the wagon
and stop. This time WILL be the exception.
I
am a proud mama to 3 amazing children. After the birth of my third child,
September 2011, my husband and I decided it would be best for me to be a
stay-at-home mom. Unfortunately this led to me being in close proximity to my
kitchen all day, everyday. When the kids had a snack, I had a snack. When they
wanted brownies, I baked brownies....and ate them. I told myself it was still
baby weight and it would fall off. Well 4 months later the weight was still
there and so was my guilty conscious.
In
January 2012 I started to realize that the way I was living wasn't working
anymore. Our third baby was our last and now I needed to finally focus on
making myself happy, starting with my confidence and weight.
I
recently joined a gym. This is not the first gym I've ever joined, but the
first time I have actually ENJOYED going to the gym. I've been there about 3
weeks now and honestly, I do enjoy it.
Let
me say this too. I plan on doing this a healthy way. Lifestyle change.
Healthy diet and workout plan. NO starvation, pills, etc... Possibly a detox
somewhere in the process, but they still kinda scare me.
Even
if no one reads this, this will serve as my motivation/venting/inspiration to
myself to continue on this journey.
